Navigating the Routes

(Steps, curbs & lifts)

All tours cover approximately 1.5 miles at a moderate walking pace.

All tours last between 1.5 and 2 hours.

As default both tours include steps (both up and down.) Please speak to your guide at the start of the tour if you would benefit from fewer steps.

The Original Loo Tour Route

The tour crosses the Jubilee/Hungerford Bridge which is accessible via lift from the South Bank & Embankment sides.*

Please note that several street-crossings on the route do not have dropped curbs.

The final venue on the route (Cellar Door Cocktail Bar) is accessible only via steps

The majority of this tour travels uphill at a gentle slope.

This tour finishes in the Covent Garden area, a 15 minute walk back to the starting point, and a short walk to Charring Cross, Holburn and Covent Garden Stations.

* Ocasionally the Jubilee Brige lift goes out of service due to bridge maintainance, which is unfortunately out of our control. If you require lift access please let us know in advance and we will confirm that it is working the day before the tour. In the event that it is not functional we will be happy to refund or transfer your booking to another date.

The Bloomsbury Route

The tour travels through University College London and The British Museum, both of which offer lift access.

The two historic toilets on this tour are accessible via steps only (both are downstairs in pubs.)

Please note that several street-crossings on the route do not have dropped curbs.

This Tour finishes approximately 1.5 miles from the starting point, a short walk to Holburn, Chancery Lane and Temple stations, and busses on Fleet Street & the Strand.

Support Workers & PAs

We are happy to provide free places to support workers & PAs. If you require an additional ticket please e-mail with your booking reference and we will book an extra place for you.
